Not always: Nano Banana 2 is a solid default, but switching makes sense for some jobs. For posters with lettering, try Nano Banana Pro on Basic. For lighter, cheaper drafts, use Nano Banana 2 Lite or Z-Image 1.0. For edits of your own photo, pick a Seedream or Flux model. Grok Imagine 1.0 can return several images per run, handy when you want options for one idea.
A new account gets free credits, and most models, including Nano Banana 2, are open on the Free plan. Those credits let you try the flow AI image generator before you pay. Paid plans add Nano Banana Pro and Seedream 5.0 Pro and raise the resolution ceiling on the models that support it. Credit amounts and plan prices sit on the pricing page, so check there before you choose.
A flow image can reach 4K, depending on your plan and the model. On Free, Seedream 4.5 and Seedream 5.0 Lite go up to 2K, while Nano Banana 2, Flux 2 Pro and Flux 2 Flex give 1K. Basic brings those Seedream models to 4K, and Nano Banana 2, Nano Banana Pro and both Flux models to 2K. Pro and Business add 4K on Nano Banana 2 and Nano Banana Pro.
The Flow Image Terms of Service allow commercial use of your results. That covers uses such as product pages, ads, book covers and client projects, as long as you follow those Terms. Upload only pictures you have the right to use, and read the Terms for the full conditions before a big campaign.
